Hi everyone,
So I decided to get this ball rolling with a sizeable book.
I've been on a huge Murakami kick recently and I just a few days ago finished reading one of his longer works, 1Q84. It was a fantastic piece, long but well worth the read and time invested in it. At no point did the pacing feel too slow and none of the information seemed extraneous. Murakami truly is a master of modern modernist literature.
On that note, I would like to recommend those of you here pick it up. Or, if you have, let me know and we can get a good discussion on some of its 'loose ends' going right away. I'd love to hear from you guys and your thoughts on it, and I'd love to start a good structured discussion on some of the themes and motifs that really stuck with me.
